Making progress...
Here's where I am at the moment....2 more seams and the center top will be finished! This is just a sneek peek with a few holes remaining before I started to assemble. Then on to loads and loads of half square triangles for the border!
**To answer several ladies, the blocks are 6" finished.
While I was doing a small turn on Bloglines this morning I came across Melanie's post about finding the perfect jar to create one of these. I commented that I loved looking at my jars I found at Walmart and would share a picture! I loaded them up with threads from Herrschner's from doing several quilts with big stitch. It's neat to find something that's so pretty to look at and also so lovely to use! (enlarge for a better view)

Your quilt is looking great! I have a bunch of those jars...I use them in the kitchen but I think I may have to move a few to the sewing room yours look adorable filled up that way :)
I love those jars - I use them for my canisters with some extras around the house to put 'cutie' things in. Need to get a few extra to have on hand. They do come in handy.
Love your quilt...it's looking great...can't wait to see the triangles added. Your jars are wonderful!
Your quilt is wonderful, Judy. What size are the blocks? I'm thinking of starting this one too as I have some civil war fabric in my stash. Great job and really enjoyed the jar container idea!
I love great big glass jars in the kitchen - they look lovely with sewing notions in them too :-)
This is beautiful. That pink just draws me in. It would be fun to see all these quilts in person. Can't you just imagine the beautiful display of pink and blue and brown quilts?
I love the pink in your 9 patches. It must be quicker to do the 6" 9 patches than I did with 3". I have some smaller jars for colour coordinating buttons, I'll have to get some bigger ones now.
I just love them ninepatches...
