I used freezer template to pre-turn the rooster with starch on the edges and also did all the tiny parts for his head. I never like to stitch with a hoop mashing my applique so I laid this block out very well and made sure I knew where the Rooster was going when I marked for the embroidery. I stitched all the work using a nice fusible backing for stiffness, and then once done I sewed down the rooster.Easy as pie!
