holiday baskets...

First thanks so much for all the nice ideas. I am really liking all the solid red designs that Kathy Schmitz makes too, as well as her solid black ones. I am seriously leaning towards that option with these designs. Best of all if I try something out and don't absolutely love it for the quilt, it can be used for other things like a pillow or something.

Now for the good stuff! I got a couple quilt tops finished this weekend for Christmas!
This is based on a pattern by Cheri Saffiote from 1999, a pretty old one. This is Cheri's Primitive Stick Tree. I seem to be on quite a Cheri Saffiote Payne kick at the moment. Of course once you make tops, you end up with all these tops that need quilting so I think I'll be doing that for the next few weeks.

    Oh, I do love your basket quilt! Would look good at my house. LOL!
    The crow & tree quilt is great, too. Cheri does such create such good prim designs.

    your continuing to amaze me! YOu sure are on a roll making lots of Cheri's quilts.
    I am very impressed, just love that tree and of coure the basket quilt is just adorable.
    I have always loved that pattern, its all about the baskets! good luck quilting them!

    Ohhhh Cheri patterns are the BEST. These are adorable. Love them! I have been admiring that stick tree pattern for awhile....mmmust resist!!!

    Great Christmas quilts! I just got a "Cheri" pattern at the country loft that is similar, I think it was called Family Tree. I haven't made any of her patterns yet but I've been collecting them lol! I think I may start on that tree today, I have been a slug sewing wise lately but your posts are inspiring me to go get busy :)
